SCREENAGER CENTRALWhere Teens Plug In

Welcome to Screenager Central

What is a "screenager?" If you're reading this on your PC while five Instant Messaging windows chime away in the background and an MP3 tune blazes from your computer speakers, you are a screenager. If you're reading this on a Web-enabled handheld, logging in from a wireless connection at the local mall, you are a screenager. If you have "close friends" who you talk to on an almost daily basis but have never actually met in person, you are a screenager. Screenagers are those who are growing up on both sides of the computer screen. If you're a screenager, you know what we mean.

Screenager Central celebrates the best new technologies, trends, and creative outlets available online. Our focus is on personal tech, but not so much on the technology itself, as all of the amazing things you can do with it.

One of the things you can do with today's desktop tech is make awesome animation. A perfect example of this is our Summit High program, the breakthrough animated series about five teens trying to make it through high school in style, without giving in to peer pressure over drinking and taking drugs. We think the series will inspire you, not only with its important message and cool characters, but also with the clever way it was created, using Flash animation. Screenager Central will even run articles on how you too can make your own digital media, with tools you likely already have on your desktop.

Today's world can be complicated. We all know there are great resources to be found online, fascinating people doing inspiring things to learn about, and all sorts of new ways to stay connected to friends and family. The problem is getting at all this good stuff. That's what we're here for -- to do the heavy lifting for you. Don't mention it, it's our job.
